Since the Kalibo Save the Mangrove (KASAMA) group started reforesting the idle mud flats in New Buswang, Kalibo, Aklan in 1990 to become the Bakhawan Eco Park, Ruperto de la Luna has been there from the start. After all these years, he has stuck with working in the mangrove reforestation area.
